Our Team
Starting in 1992, Oland Engineering Limited has built it’s business on the strength of over 2,000 designs, many of which had to live up to some very difficult onsite design criteria. Their approach has been to work closely with owners, contractors, suppliers and approving authorities so that the construction process goes as smoothly as possible.

Our sewage consulting work in the Valley is extensive and, above all, we pride ourselves in maintaining a close working relationship with approving authorities at various government levels, along with many of the best contractors and suppliers in the Valley. The backbone of a successful product is very much dependent on bringing this team together and our mandate is to provide successful hands-on planning and project management from beginning to end.
Maggie Oland
Office Manager
Jeff and Maggie started Oland Engineering Ltd. in 1992, and following his marriage proposal, they create a business specializing in a unique field. Jeff’s friend suggested sewage treatment design, and the journey began. With a fax machine, a big 1990s cell phone, and our first hire, Wayne Somcher, we dove into septic system design. Wayne became like family, and the business quickly thrived. Today, their son-in-law, Dustin Cunnington, has joined them and has brought fresh energy and innovation to the company, helping them to continue a legacy built on integrity, hard work, and specialized expertise.
Maggie has lived in Kelowna since 1974 and enjoys cooking, baking, golf, yoga, paddleboarding, snowshoeing, volleyball, and travel. Recently becoming a grandmother has been a highlight of Maggie’s life. Jeff and Maggie have three wonderful adult children who inspire them every day. Family is at the heart of everything they do, and Maggie is grateful for the memories, experiences, and opportunities they have had along the way.
